For a long time, I could envision what I was meant to do, but it took growth, faith, and the right timing to bring that dream to life.
The moment I knew I wanted to be in real estate happened inside a model home that, even to my 7-year-old self, I knew was a luxurious property. I remember standing there with my mother and grandmother, listening closely as the agent walked us through it. He spoke about the home like it was a work of art. The way he described the details, the thought behind the layout, the design—it was storytelling, and it pulled me in completely. That was the moment I realized homes weren’t just structures. They were artistic expressions that served as the backdrop of people’s lives.
I remember him telling my mom the price, “One fifty,” and in shock, I asked, “A dollar fifty?” Once he clarified, I realized it was more than double what most homes in the area went for at the time. I understood, even then, the true value of a home and what makes one stand out from another. The seeds were planted, and from then on, real estate remained in the back of my mind.
In school, every placement test I took pointed me toward real estate or hospitality. But I thought it was a career reserved for more established professionals. So I worked in telecommunications, first at AT&T and later at Verizon Business Solutions, doing data analysis. Problem-solving came naturally, but it wasn’t fulfilling. I wanted the human connection.
The turning point came in 2013. I had just given birth to my son and found myself laid off. It turned into a transformative chapter in my life. I went back to school to study mass communication, transformed my physical health, and started planning what the next decade of my life would look like. I didn’t want to return to a job that wasn’t rewarding. I wanted to feel fulfilled, build something of my own, and serve people.
In 2019, my husband and I built our home. I was involved in every aspect of designing, and as it came together, I felt my passion for real estate come through in every facet of the process. When the builder complimented our design choices, I realized I was onto something and finally ready to take a chance. I got my license that same year and joined a growing firm and quickly became a broker assistant. I worked with multitude of clients and closed more than 25 homes in my first year. It was a great learning experience.
In 2022, I decided to bet on myself and took the leap of faith. That decision became a defining moment. I built my business by listening, doing what I said I’d do, and making my client’s mission my mission. That approach earned me the brokerage’s first “Find a Way Award”, recognizing how I help clients overcome obstacles and reach their goals no matter what.
A huge part of my success comes down to the support of my family and faith. My husband, Darriny, and I have been together since high school. We met in church when I was in the third grade, and he told me then and there he’d marry me one day. And sure enough, we did years later. We have four children: Lauren, Davin, Damar, and Dillan. A big part of building this business is teaching them how to be responsible, work hard, and create the life they want to live.
Faith has guided every part of my journey, and I often ask God to place me where I can be a blessing to others through this work. Real estate is where I’ve found purpose, growth, and the chance to serve others with intention. It is not just a job for me, and I have a deep respect for what a home truly means and the impact it can have on someone’s life.
The heart of my business is service. Everyone who has come to me ready to buy a home, I’ve helped make it happen. And if they’re not there yet, I walk with them until they are. No matter what their goals are, I listen, I strategize, and I stay committed to their success, no matter how long it takes. I’ve helped first-time buyers, investors, upsizers, downsizers, and everyone in between.
That range of experience means I can meet people where they are — whether they need help navigating financing, choosing the right property, or preparing their home for sale. I know how overwhelming the process can be, and I work to remove that pressure. My job is to make sure they feel confident making informed decisions and are supported every step of the way.
With the backing of my brokerage, I offer clients access to trusted in-house partners for lending, title, renovation, and prep services with after-closing payment options to minimize out-of-pocket costs while still getting top dollar. That support keeps the process moving smoothly and allows me to focus fully on what matters most: helping real people reach real goals.
Sincerely,
